Psypawlogy Client Service Agreement

Our Approach to Care
At Psypawlogy Pet Care, LLC ("Psypawlogy"), your pet is cared for with intention, patience, and genuine attention. We prioritize consistency, safety, and a calm, structured experience tailored to your pet's individual needs.

Every caregiver on our team follows The Psypawlogy Method, our behavior-informed standard of care. The Method shapes how we greet, handle, exercise, and comfort your pet, and how we observe and report on their wellbeing.

This agreement supports clear communication and the highest quality of care across every service we provide.

This agreement applies to the following Psypawlogy Pet Care services.

• Daycare

Service Areas
Psypawlogy currently serves clients in the DMV area (Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia). Service availability, pricing, and caregiver assignment may vary by location.

Our Caregivers
Services are provided by Psypawlogy caregivers who work with us as independent contractors. Every caregiver completes background screening, holds a current Pet CPR and First Aid certification, is trained in The Psypawlogy Method, and is held to the same standard of care. Psypawlogy assigns caregivers based on your pet's needs, location, and availability. When possible, we keep your pet with a consistent caregiver. A substitute or assistant caregiver is assigned only with your approval.

Clients agree not to solicit or hire a Psypawlogy caregiver directly for pet care services outside of Psypawlogy for 12 months after their last service with that caregiver.

Separate Professional Services
Psypawlogy Pet Care services are pet care only. Coming soon, Psypawlogy Mental Health, PLLC will offer mental health and professional support services centered on the human-animal bond. These services will be offered separately, under their own agreement, consent, and privacy terms, and we will share details with our clients as they become available. Booking pet care does not establish a clinical or therapeutic relationship.

Payments and Booking
All estimates, invoices, payment details, and transaction history are available through your client portal. Payments are initiated by the client and may be completed in one of two ways, through the Psypawlogy Venmo account or by credit or debit card through the client portal.
For services scheduled in advance, an estimate may be provided with ample notice. Invoices are sent weekly on Sunday for services completed during that week, and payment is due by the following Wednesday. Clients who prefer to pay as they go are welcome to pay after each completed service, before the weekly invoice is sent. Holiday fees, additional-pet fees, add-ons, and extended-stay pricing will be shown on your estimate before you book. Tips paid through Psypawlogy go to your caregiver in full.

Veterinary bills, transportation tolls or parking, and supplies purchased on your behalf are billed to you separately and are not included in service rates.

Scheduling, Cancellations and Changes
Services are scheduled within designated time blocks to allow for thoughtful, unrushed care. Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed, but you will always be notified before arrival. Requests for schedule adjustments or extensions are always welcome and are subject to availability.

Pet Health, Wellness and Safety
Your pet's wellbeing, and the safety of every pet in our care, is our top priority. Clients agree to share any relevant medical history, behavioral tendencies, anxiety, reactivity, routines, or prior concerns so services can be provided safely and thoughtfully.

Health Requirements
• Pets must be in good health and free from contagious illness
• Pets must not be experiencing diarrhea, vomiting, or signs of illness at the time of service
• Daycare, group outing, and Pack Bus pets must be healthy at pickup or drop-off
If a pet shows signs of illness, services may be declined, paused, or ended early. If your pet has recently been ill, veterinary clearance may be required before returning to services. If a pet becomes unwell during care, you will be notified promptly and next steps will be discussed. Medications are given only as directed in your written care instructions, using medication you provide.

Transition Periods
As pets adjust to new routines, environments, daycare, boarding, or overnight care, temporary changes in appetite, stool, energy, or behavior may occur. Clients are encouraged to monitor their pet during transition periods. Psypawlogy will also closely observe your pet and share any notable updates with care and transparency.

Safety and Behavior
Psypawlogy reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue services if safety becomes a concern for the pet, caregiver, or others. A behavior-informed meet and greet may be required before group services, boarding, or transportation. Psypawlogy may be unable to accept pets with a documented history of aggression or pets restricted under state or local law.

Vaccinations
All pets must be current on required vaccinations, including rabies, unless a valid veterinary exemption is provided. Dogs joining daycare, group outings, boarding, or the Pack Bus should also be current on core vaccinations such as DHPP. Bordetella is strongly recommended.

Walks and Equipment
For safety and comfort, a no-pull harness may be used during walks and runs and is sanitized between uses. Clients are welcome to provide preferred equipment or purchase a dedicated harness for their pet.

All clients must provide both a secure collar with an identifiable tag and a well-fitted harness for their pet. Clients are also responsible for making sure all walking equipment is safe and in good working condition.

Daycare Services
Daycare is intentionally small-scale, structured, and supervised to provide a calm, balanced environment focused on appropriate play, rest and decompression, and individualized attention.

Clients agree to provide accurate drop-off and pick-up times and to pick up their pet promptly. Late pick-ups may incur a fee. To maintain a safe and balanced group dynamic, Psypawlogy reserves the right to limit, modify, or discontinue daycare services at any time.

Group Outings and Community Events
Pack walks, adventure outings, socials, and other community events take place in public settings such as trails, parks, and dog-friendly venues. Psypawlogy structures and supervises these outings, but public settings include risks outside our control, such as other people, off-leash or unfamiliar animals, terrain, and weather.

When a client attends an event alongside their pet, the client remains responsible for their own pet, their guests, and any children attending with them. Every adult attendee must sign the Psypawlogy Doggy Social Event Participant Waiver and Release before participating. Psypawlogy may ask any pet to take a break or leave an event for safety.

Overnight Sitting and Boarding
Overnight sitting is provided in the client's home to maintain your pet's comfort, familiarity, and routine. Boarding is provided in a caregiver's structured home environment designed to support your pet's safety, comfort, and routine while you are away. Boarding homes care for no more than five animals at a time, and boarding stays are limited to fewer than 30 days. Both include consistent supervision, care, companionship, and structured routines throughout your pet's stay.

Clients agree to provide clear care instructions, feeding routines, medications, and household information, to make sure the home is safely accessible, and to disclose any visitors, cleaners, contractors, or other services expected during the stay.

The Psypawlogy Pack Bus
The Pack Bus provides scheduled pet transportation to and from Psypawlogy services, outings, grooming, and other approved destinations.
• Pets ride crated or secured in a restraint suited to their size whenever the vehicle is moving
• Each household's pets ride separately and are never mixed with another client's animals
• The vehicle is kept between 45°F and 85°F, with ventilation, shade, and protection from weather
• Pickup and drop-off windows are confirmed in advance, and you will be notified on departure and arrival
• Someone authorized by you must be available at drop-off unless home access has been arranged
• Pets with motion sickness, travel anxiety, or medical needs must be disclosed before booking
• Delays caused by traffic, weather, or road conditions are outside our control and do not make a trip refundable

Veterinary Appointment Concierge
The Veterinary Appointment Concierge offers tiered support for routine and follow-up veterinary visits. Depending on the tier selected, a caregiver may transport your pet, stay with them through the appointment, relay the veterinarian's notes to you, and pick up prescriptions.
• You authorize Psypawlogy to share your pet's information with, and receive information from, the veterinary clinic for the booked appointment
• You remain the decision-maker for your pet's care, and Psypawlogy does not consent to treatment, procedures, or estimates on your behalf except in an emergency as described below:
• All veterinary fees are paid by you, directly to the clinic or reimbursed to Psypawlogy
• Psypawlogy caregivers are not veterinary professionals and do not provide medical advice or diagnosis

Home Access, Privacy and Liability
By booking services, you authorize Psypawlogy and its assigned caregivers to enter your home as needed to care for your pet. Clients agree to provide safe and reliable home access, disclose anyone expected on the property during service periods, and make sure security systems and cameras are appropriately placed and disclosed. Your keys, access codes, and household information are kept confidential and used only to care for your pet.

While every reasonable precaution is taken, Psypawlogy is not liable for the following.
• Damage or incidents caused by third parties
• Home maintenance or system issues such as plumbing, electrical, appliances, or internet outages
• Weather events or circumstances outside reasonable control
• Pet-related injuries or damages beyond reasonable supervision, including incidents with other people or animals in public settings
Locksmith services may be arranged if necessary, at the client's expense unless caused by negligence. Any concerns regarding services or damages must be reported within 24 hours. Liability, if applicable, is limited to the total cost of services provided.

Emergency Veterinary Care
In a medical emergency where you cannot be reached, you authorize Psypawlogy to seek veterinary care in your pet's best interest, including during transportation or a concierge appointment. All veterinary costs and related expenses remain the responsibility of the client.

Emergency Guardians and Continued Care
If you are unreachable, care may be transitioned to your designated emergency contact or guardian. If no guardian is available, alternative care may be arranged at a licensed facility at the client's expense.

If a pet is not retrieved and communication or payment has not been received within 10 days, Psypawlogy reserves the right to arrange continued care or placement to ensure the pet's wellbeing.

Weather and Emergencies
Services, outings, and transportation may be adjusted, rescheduled, or cancelled during severe weather or emergencies to prioritize the safety, health, and comfort of your pet.

Communication and Updates
You will receive thoughtful updates throughout services, including notes, photos, and GPS tracking when applicable. Open and ongoing communication is always encouraged. If an incident or injury occurs during care, you will be notified right away and receive a written summary within 24 hours.

Pack Points and Referrals
Eligible services may earn Pack Points through our loyalty program, and clients who refer new families may receive referral rewards. Points and rewards have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and follow the program terms in effect when they are redeemed. Psypawlogy may update or end these programs with notice.

Photo and Media Release
Photos and videos help us share joyful moments, celebrate the pets in our care, and show prospective clients what thoughtful, behavior-informed pet care looks like.
• Consent by signing. By signing this agreement, you allow Psypawlogy to photograph and film your pet during services, outings, and events, and to share that media on Psypawlogy's website, social media, client communications, printed materials, and other business-related marketing.
• No compensation. You will not receive payment, royalties, or any other compensation for media featuring your pet. Psypawlogy will never sell your pet's image as a standalone stock photo.
• Pets only. Psypawlogy will not publish your name, home address, house number, access instructions, personal contact information, or anything else that identifies you or your home. Your pet's first name may be used.
• Opting out. If you prefer that your pet not be featured publicly, email info@psypawlogy.com. You may choose private client updates only, where media is shared with you directly and never posted, or no promotional use at all. Your choice never affects the quality or availability of your pet's care.
• Withdrawing later. You may change or withdraw your permission for future use at any time by notifying Psypawlogy in writing. Materials already published, printed, distributed, or scheduled before your notice is received may remain in use.
• Events. At outings and community events, incidental appearance in crowd or wide-angle photos may not always be avoidable.
Any media that shows you personally, your family, or the inside or outside of your home, and any testimonial or paid advertisement featuring you, requires a separate written release signed before use.
